About the speaker:
Xi Dong is an Associate Professor of Finance at Baruch College / City University of New York. Before joining Baruch, he was an Assistant Professor at INSEAD and a strategist at State Street Global Advisors. His research interests center around how market frictions shape finance. Most of his works concern the interaction of three areas: asset pricing, trading, and information. His works have been published at top academic journals such as Journal of Finance, Management Science, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis. Several of them have won well-known best paper awards such as Crowell Prize. His works are also presented at top academic conferences such as AFA, WFA, EFA, and SFS Cavalcade, as well as attracted interests from top business entities such as Wolf Research, Fidelity Investments, Acadian Asset Management, Panagora Asset Management, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
