During the summer of 2021, under the leadership of Prof. Philip H. Dybvig, the Dean of Institute of Financial Studies (IFS), our institute has successfully organized and held nine finance and accounting seminars, two research feedback workshops, and a lecture series. Due to COVID-19, the program of this year was still being held virtually. We invited some well-known speakers to present academic research, such as Prof. Albert S. Kyle from University of Maryland, Prof. Randall Wright from University of Wisconsin, and Prof. Todd Keister from University of Rutgers, etc. All of our events were successfully held virtually via Zoom, and we invited both the students and faculty members of SWUFE as well as the individuals from outside the university to attend. These research-oriented events are educational experiences designed exclusively for university faculty members and students; it provided them a unique opportunity to stay connected with the most influential financial professors around the world as well as keep current with financial topics. The seminar series exposes SWUFE undergraduate and graduate students to a wide range of finance related topics and helps them conduct research at a higher level. The research feedback workshop events provides faculties and students with the opportunity to practice their presentation skills on research topics or information salient to their chosen fields; it also provides them the opportunity to obtain useful feedbacks related to their research from professors like Philip H. Dybvig and Jun Liu.
